A couple of years ago, the Thunder Valley race was held at night. As a fan, it seemed to be great. Why did they not continue the race there at night? Was it because they had to cut out some track sections or possibly because the lighting wasn't good enough for the racers? I could swee where it would make travel difficult as well. I think there are a couple of tracks where a night race would be a good idea if the lighting logistics would work (Freestone being one to help with the heat).

Thoughts?

If I remember correctly there was a lot of complains about shadows.

It was only night for the last moto. The rest were at dusk, worst time to see. It looked like they did have good lights, when it's dark.

If it was the riders complaining about the shadows, and their complaints were heard, i'd say that is a step in the right direction.
