Just got mine and it's an awesome camera, tried it out in an MX race this past weekend, just wondering those of you who have one, is there any free video editing software that is easy to use and good for the gopro to make into youtube videos or whatever, any recommendations would be sweet thanks.

it's sick man, I'll have to look into that one, but yeah it's good quality and if you have an hd tv it looks awesome when you watch it again, just gotta make sure the angle is good before you record, my bro had it tipped too far down for the 2nd moto and missed alot of stuff, was just the front of his bike lol.

I've been playing with VideoPad Editor. It's just a freebee program that does about what Movie Maker does but works with MP4 format which is what the GoPro makes. It converts down to nice file sizes and formats.

I tried my camera out a few weeks ago and the video from it is amazing. Especially on a big screen HDTV at full resolution. My big problem is finding the right angle.. I got 3 motos worth of dirt and very little sky. Here's my vid if you wanna see the quality I got from the conversion at 720p and 25fps.

Vimeo is a better alternative to youtube also, it accepts HD videos instead of just HQ. The free version of it allows up to 500mb of video a week, which is pretty easy to stay under when you shorten your video up and change formats. My 8 minute video ended up being 186mb.

What did you use to convert it down?

I have one of these awesome little cams. I have only used it once so far and made a couple of 4 min vids using Sony Vega Pro 9 but the both ended up bein around 3gig.

VideoPad converts it to one of several formats and compresses it pretty well. It's a half decent little tool for free so far. Certainly bare bones but I don't want to do any crazy editing yet anyway.
