Hi everybody I hope you will see this topic and maybe help me. (already I wanna say sorry for my spell mistake in english I hope you understand me)

I am a french rider and I hope to come in California to ride 250 West coast
here is my "plan" :
-make my passeport and find a Visa
-plane ticket of course..
-then or : hotel/rent and buy a pick-up or house (roomate, rent) and buy a pick-up
-buy 2 250 (one for training, one for the races)
-ride supercross West coast, I hope to join The Privateer Journey team that can help me.

Where can I live ?
I heard about "training facilities" but this don't really exist here so is it like a place to live and train ?
Or I can take any contact who can help me to find a place to sleep, between riders, or "roomates" I can pay each months.

I hope you can help. thank you Smile

But,some french rider made the main Saturday in his first sx race, guess he doesn't read vital forum.

Good luck to you, and,I have no idea the answers to your questions.

Kyl-
For racing and training accommodations you can contact Mrs. Cari Schehr at Grindstone Compound.
The e-mail is CARI@GRINDSTONECOMPOUND.COM

If racing is your occupation. You should be able to get a work visa in the United states for the duration of a suoercross season. Because you will be "working"

I would think you could find a cheap room to rent right in the middle of multiple tracks in the Temecula/Murrieta area. There are many fans out here who would be thrilled to share a home with a SX racer. Posting on here is a good idea, maybe Craigslist or contact some race oriented shops in the area. Best of luck to you

Do you have the proper license to race sx? With the new road to supercross you may find you need to do arenacross before you can race 250 west

yea I saw this when I have read the rules so I sent a message to them and they said that because I'm a stranger It's ok I can race supercross without arenacross. And it's only for a few rounds, not all so it's ok for them I think.

I was going to tell you about MX Heaven but Razi91 beat me to it...

https://www.facebook.com/mxheavenracing

I know this is extreme, but you could buy a van instead of a truck, and use it to sleep in for the first week or two until you get things figured out. Planet Fitness is a cheap gym that you can use for showers during that time. I realize this is very extreme but for a week or two, if you are desperate it might work.

Another thing you can do is reach out to Sebastien Tortelli's CHAMP FACTORY.

Obviously Seb is French. He might be able to help you get some connections.

Good luck!

PS: I always wondered....would you get in major trouble if you rode a motorcycle on Le Grand Randonee?

Yes, I am realistic I know I have not the level of Webb or Musquin and not the support of factory so I am what you call "privateer rider". It will be hard but I work on this even harder. That's nice to have your support thank you very much
