Asterisk knee brace gear guard?

I have some Asterisk Carbon Cell 1 knee braces and they shred the inside of my pants. I haven’t had any other braces do it as bad as these. I remember back in the day asterisk made some “gear guards” that sat on the inside of the brace and they helped greatly. I did a google search but didn’t come up with anything. Anyone have any tips to soften them up a tad? I’ve shredded many pairs of fox flex air and 360 pants in just a few rides.
