Amateur racing at the national

To race the amateur race the day after the national do they require you to have an ama membership like some amateur races do? We thinking about hanging around after the muddy creek race.

some of them, like hangtown, are for sure AMA sanctioned. I can't comment on Muddy Creek, but they should say on their website.

I haven't done one but I bet they would require a membership. Make sure they do it on the national track. I know Red Bud used to do the amateur race on a different track than the pro one.

Washougals Amateur Days are the Thurs and Fri before the National. An AMA license is required this year, it wasn't last year, but it was the year before.
