Does anyone else think the exhaust headers on the 2013 crf450's are a little ridiculous? It is right behind the front wheel now where rocks hit..If your trail riding it takes just one rock to hit it and crack it. I'm not hating on honda but I think that design wasn't so smart.

I agree. I'm certainly glad my 2011 crf 450 isn't designed like that.

How did you get one with more than one header? You must know someone...

pretty sure most of the damage done to the header on my 450 is from being roosted and the bit in the middle has no dents because its covered by the front wheel and suspension?

I have the 2013 and race enduro/desert/single track. I thought the same before I got it but the only dent I have so far is from a really bad crash at Lake Havasu Worcs..

i too thought the positioning was a little 'vulnerable' however it seems as if it isnt a problem..

so..crf450 owners..are your headers getting pelted to death??

I have had 2010 - 2013 and haven't had any problems with this. No dents what so ever.

No, only pelting going on is to whatever is in the roost off my rear tire. Suppose if I had a Christini 2wd kit it might present a problem.
