He actually was an aspiring rider on minis. I know folks like to pick at him, but the dude is a cool cat in my book. He is still living the dream into his 40s. If you check him on Instagram, you will see he is still doing huge concerts and looks to be having the time of his life.

He even has one of those home makeover shows. I watched a few episodes and it wasn't that bad

Except for the fact that McGrath didn't start racing until 1987. In 1985 he raced BMX and was 13 years old.

He gets a bad rap, but he's a cool guy and likes to ride. His house re-build show is more entertaining with most of the cookie cutter ones.

He has a good life going on if you ask me.

Ehh? Where do you get your info from?

Mc raced amateur in 1985 and started his first real season in 86 then won loretta's in 87...turned pro in 89!

Well, I don't claim to be an expert on MC''s amateur career and my memory won't be admitted into evidence if this went to court. My point was that weather he started in '86 or '87 he couldn't have been in that 125 intermediate race with Robby Ice in 1985 and as you say, win LL two years as a Novice.... That is all.

As far as I know Mc won LL once and that was in 1987. I never claimed that he raced in the race with Vanilla, I simply stated he raced in 85, 86 and 87 as an amateur...I dont want to say I know everybody or anything like that, but grew up with these dudes and remember all his gold cup days on bmx as I raced bmx years earlier. I Clearly remember when his parents bought him his first yz80, everyone around was super jelly especially me! I can gaurantee you he rode and raced in 85 and 86, in 1987 a few months after he won LL I moved to Germany and couldnt tell you anything past that.

I rode with him every week for many years. He rides a lot better than that vid shows and that is about the worst Dania has ever looked. Lol I have had to rub some paint on some of his crew who thought they were the shit with attitudes a few times tho. No I'm the shit, beaches. Didn't take them long to figure it out. Lol Robbie is cool.

Vanilla Ice seems cool to me. I like his home renovation show. It is better than most of them on TV.

Haters are gonna hate, and there are a lot of haters on this internet board. I figure all the haters must have miserable lives.

I raced against him twice at Air Dania in Florida and he was wicked cool and seemed to be friends with everyone there. He was pretty fast too. I was impressed. I started next to him one moto and they started blasting that song ding ding ding da ding ding, ice ice baby song over the sound system and he leaned over to me and said "I hate when they do that"

Air Dania was a fun place. In the mid 00s, Ronnie Tichenor went down there and won an open money race on about an 85 RM125. Had a drum rear brake.

Used to see him nearly every week at Air Dania until it closed.
One time he was standing next to the track where I had a nasty crash, he helped me up, pushed my bike back to the pits and helped me straighten the handlebars.
Always seemed like a good dude, and could ride pretty well too.
