Where did the few of us left ride this weekend?
I rode at the recently reopened Diablo MX (Sand Hill) with a bunch of other cool people who must have missed the doom memo. Took out the YZ and the RM to get a good comparison for a video I'm planning to make, both bikes were great and I felt good all day. Track was a little deep and challenging in spots, but overall it was good and I'm sure they'll get the prep dialed in over time. Got to talk vans with some guys as well since I'll be in the market soon. Anyone else twist some throttle?

I can report that there was a decent crowd at the post Southwick Open Ride Day today.
Hoping to make the hike down to Henderson , NC rode that track alot and its about the best that i have close to me ... budds creek is comparable distance . i have a local practice track but ive ridden it for 15+ years looking for something new .. and theres anoth District 13 track , south fork ... but the vibes there are awful now , and the crowd has really died down in the motocross industry here in virginia it seems like ... or maybe im out of the loop.
But to answer your question sadly i havent been able to twist the throttle in a while and it's killing me ...
I need to get out to Diablo soon!
Looking forward to your YZ / RM shootout
The Shop
Last race didn't go so well, so I'm down for a while. Body feels about the same as my clutch master cylinder.
Pit Row
Still debating doing the piston and rings since its half ripped apart already... I can save on the personal labor charge
To get back on topic... I didn't hit a track this weekend but did put about 300 on my adventure bike... Lots of empty 2 lane paved roads plus plenty of gravel roading...
Post a reply to: So, since "the sport" is dying and everyone's bike is getting stolen. . .
