I want to get a boat but don't know where to start .I just want something small, powered for cheap to ride around with my wife.

What's a good small used boat and used outboard on small budget? I am talking the used 2002 CR125 of the boat world..

The list is very very long... depends on what you want to do? Fish, cruise, ski, river, lake, ocean.... Smile

I leave one of my boats in the lake all year, the other is winterized and put in storage. Both will be in the water within a couple of weeks. Smile

This would be Chesapeake Bay. So cruising mostly. I guess my category is very broad, I just don't know anything about boats.

This thread made me want to blow some dust off. A bucket of KFC and a nice ride with the kids. Smile

I'm considering selling mine so I can upgrade but people want to pay 25k & I've got over 10k in upgrades, would let it go for 27k if I remove the stereo & ballast system. I also made my own surf gate, ever since I put that on I think my wave is one of the best I've been behind, before not so much, really big but too small of a pocket to surf, now I have a huge pocket to ride & learn tricks

I figured I'd drag up this old thread since I finally got a picture of my boat in the water. It's been over 10 years since I have taken it out but I had a great time out on the Rogue.

I've been taking mine out as much as possible since early spring time.
Been doing quite a bit of fishing with MotoSmith.

I think I jinxed myself. I didn't touch a rod except on a few charters for guests since i posted last year on this thread. Got crazy burned out after 20 plus years guiding/3rd generation and 3 new tracks opening close to my house had a lot to do with it too. But im getting the serious itch to start enjoying it with the family again instead of work. It was the first year in my life i wasnt in a boat 200 to 300 days a year. Lol
