90-91 or 93-96 cr250

im trying to decide which bike I want to get and resto mod it. im nit a mxer just a trail rider 6'4 300lb thought about a cr500 but decided it would probably be to much bike for my riding style or ability. I would like to install a big bore port and polish on witch ever I get to improve the lower end power. I like the red/orange color and the looks of the 90 but also like the looks of the Showtime replica 93-96 bikes and they seem to be more available for the 93-96 and from what I can tell isn't the 93-96 power valve setup more reliable and easier to service? any input on these bike would be greatly appreciated.
