It's amazing that his friend and co-worker, Artie, attempted suicide and he is bad mouthing the media for reporting it.

I read that earlier today, by stabbing himself! i sure could think of a lot easier less painful ways to go.

According to the NY Post, Lange attempted suicide. Stabbed himself 9 times (6 hesitation wounds, and 3 deep wounds). Was found by his mother who came by his apartment in Hoboken, NJ to bring him some food.

Like anything else, when it's a family member, or close friend, it takes on an entirely different meaning. Stern knew soon as it happened and was asked by Artie's family to keep quiet. Someone at PageSix found out and reported it. He sounds like a hypocrite acting like that, but whatever.

All money and fame does is make getting drugs easier. Drugs are Arties demon.

I like his show alot but Howard has to know that if that was someone else famous they would be talking about it on his show and cracking jokes on it. I like Artie but he has some major issues with drugs.

I read Artie's book "too fat to fish" and damn he has been though a lot in his life. He really needs some serious help dealing with his issues. I like him and love the Stern show and after reading the book knew it was just a matter of time before he did something like this. Stabbing yourself is serious shit man! He must not of wanted to die because if he did he would of just took a bunch of pills and drugs like he did the first time he tried to kill himself like he explained in his book. Must suck for Howard to loose his Dad and have Artie do that all during the holidays.

Or just do it right the first time. He could have stepped in front of a train, jumped off a tall building, etc.

I dont know the guy personally but from what I have seen of his career: flim, radio, television. He has had a few opportunities given to him. What happened to those?

Woe is me, nobody likes me, I'm gonna eat some mud? I am personally tired of hearing about these stories. I have no compassion for these fucks that have more than most and come crying to the public with a book deal they made a few hundred grand on and compare their pitiful life with the rest of us who are working to pay rent, mortgage and the kids in school.

He has long hair and is not a christian fundamentalist, that should be enough to tell you. But seriously, publicly he would possibly say he is a Libertarian but probably an Independent, however he voted for Obama and is a lefty by heart, I am willing to bet. He is a lefty.
