Honda clearly showed HP superiority tonight! Those guys couldn't match that engine performance in the 250 and 450 class...

Very cool.

It's not horsepower, but rather traction.

Paw Paw
thats right, if any other bike wins or gets holeshot they have HP, if honda does its traction....sounds logical

I agree completely. (Not that they don't have plenty of HP) but if you watch them in the sweeper they were on rails!

So last week, the week before that and the week before that KTM showed their HP superiority? Huh

Silly.

Here's what I saw tonight; #1 in the 250 class pulled a massive holeshot over Musquin. Wasn't even close. That's sheer and utter HP dominance. If it wasn't, whey didn't KTM do it and why couldn't Musquin catch him? It's because Honda had the more powerful machine.

I also saw #3 in the 450 class outride, and pull out a significant lead (after coming from behind and passing) #5. Even Dunge said he couldn't match that pace. Pretty sure it was a similar conversation in the KTM pits on the 250 side.

What part of that did you miss?

I keep thinking "he's either joking, or stupid". I just don't know which it is.

Did you neglect to read my initial response?

How about this- up until last week, every single 250 main had been holeshotted by a KTM or Husky. Does that somehow mean that the Honda's (as well as blue, green, yellow) were blown away by the HP of the KTM?

In the 450 class tonight, KTM got the holeshot. Andrew Short on his KTM has gotten several holeshots. Is that due to their massive HP advantage?

How about the guys on the Hondas (or any other brand) that had lousy starts? Did all their mechanics forget to pull the rag out of the airbox?

The idea that HP is all it takes to get a holeshot is silly, as is the idea that the HP is the primary factor in why any of the brands have a great, winning night. That's not to say that Big Red isn't doing a great job- about half the bikes in the 250 class are red, and the #3, #14 and #41 have all looked great all season long.

That doesn't really add up. Musquin completely stuffed up his start, he went too early and then hesitated. Even so, he was the fastest guy on the night anyway and he was indeed catching Bogle. He just couldn't come back from that poor start. Are you saying Honda has massively upped their engine in just one week? That seems unlikely. Besides, don't we keep hearing that 450's make enough power already, and that these days it's all about making sure that power is the right place, not just that there's more of it?

I like Honda too, but I seriously doubt they're making heaps more power than any of the other teams out there.

The horsepower thing is a silly argument.

Bogle was smooth and excellent tonight...it wasn't the "hp advantage"

I knew the thread was BS when i saw honda and HP in the same post.EvilCheerful RD may say he was going 100% but he wouldn't risk racing with a guy going 110% and on the ragged edge every lap, ET near took them both out more than a few times.

There are several threads/responses on the front page of Vital, this one included, perfectly illustrating that ignorance and drinking don't mix.

So in your mind, a win automatically means you have the most HP? How old are you honestly? I mean we all know that you hate KTM but you can't honestly be that retarded.
