Well, let's see. South of Edmonton there's Bud Park, open Tuesday and Thursday nights, St. Francis is out by Genesee, a little further there's Extreme Raceways in Alix, and the Rocky Mountain House track is worth the drive. Vegreville isn't too far away to the East, Antler Lake is by Sherwood Park and the best track in the area, but you have to belong to the Alberta Old Timers for the chance to ride there twice a year. To the North, there's Westlock MX, Super Dave's is in the Gibbons/Bon Accord area, and if you drive a bit, both Swan Hills and Slave Lake have excellent tracks. There's a track out at Devil's Lake near Onoway, but I have no idea if it's open for practice or not. Most of the tracks want $20 for a day pass except Westlock, which I believe is $30. There's also a fair bit of trail/off road stuff North and West of town as well, if you're into that sort of thing. Although in Alberta it's required by law to have a head and tail lights, registration and insurance, and a spark arrestor to ride on Crown land. Although I carry reg & ins. on my CR , I don't have lights and have never been hassled about equipment, but I know other people who have.
