Troy Lee Designs Finishes the 2013 MX Season at Lake Elsinore

The final round of the 2013 AMA Pro Motocross Championships took place this past weekend at the Red Bull Lake Elsinore National in sunny Southern California.

In the 450 class, Malcolm Stewart started inside the top 10 in moto 1, demonstrating the top pace set by the leaders and eventually finishing in 9th place.

Moto 2 saw Malcolm in 5th place on the first lap, and he looked to be comfortable in pushing it when he suddenly swapped out and went down on the 3rd lap. He remounted in last place and spent the remainder of the moto working his way through the pack to finish in 18th. Stewart's 9-18 moto scores netted him 14th overall.

250 moto 1 started with all 3 TLD riders inside the top 15 with Cole Seely pushing himself early on. Around the half-way point in the moto, Cole, who was up to 5th, began to suffer from the heat and started losing positions. He held on to 10th to finish the race. Jessy Nelson put up a good fight the entire moto to finish 12th, while rookie Shane McElrath finished 18th.

250 moto 2 would see McElrath slide out in the third turn and remount in last on the opening lap. Although not the start he hoped for, he would eventually work his way up to 17th at the end for 17th overall. Jessy put in a consistent moto for 14th at the checkers and 13th overall for the day. Cole struggled in moto 2 and did not have the speed to run up front as he did in the first moto. He would eventually settle for 12th place putting him in 12th overall.

Thank you to all of the fans that have supported the team throughout the year. It's been a fun year and 2014 is going to be even better. See you at the races!
