The US needs to return to being the leader again we allowed the 4Strokes in the early 2000s & everybody made the switch by 2006 but today the US AMA SX/MX needs to follow the lead of Australian MX & Canadian MX who allows the 250 2Stroke to race against the 250 4Stroke in the lights class. With no great benefits to either because it comes down to Rider style/skills & track design this would be a crowd-pleaser but even more importantly 2Strokes are cheaper, cheaper to race & maintain this would help the smaller teams specially the privateers...Woohoo ..

The 2Strokes have that high-revving HP while the 4Strokes have that low end torque the 4Strokes also has engine braking. But the 2Strokes are lighter & safer without that internal momentum which also brings up why the two stroke would be great for the racers in the lights class not just because they're cheap to race & maintain but because most amateurs race 2Strokes & to have a mix of 2Strokes & 4Strokes in the lights Pro class would be great for the new Pros and fans alike...
