James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship 2

After a tough race weekend, James headed out to Wortham Texas for the
2nd annual James Stewart AMA Spring Championship. "I always wanted to be
a bigger part of the motocross industry and I think this is taking
amateur racing to a new level," said Stewart James is also inviting each
champion of all 49 classes to come and train with him at his compound
in Florida in the fall.

So just wondering- Most of the time when someone's name is attatched to an event or a facility it means they put their money into it- Is that the case? If so that's pretty unique for an active racer to have a race for his namesake- I wonder if it's a fun thing for him to give back, or is it a money making deal, or both?

good move by james. but in videos that pop up after this one ends is a cooper web video at freestone. cooper web must be a barcia fan because he took same line and hit same hay bail as barcia did when his bike went tumbling and broke musquin's hand.
