So, a little upset to say the least with the new "AMA" sanctioned Mammoth Race. First off, if it is AMA, then why not follow their rules! My son has been training on a two stroke to race in the B class which in AMA the rules clearly state that they can race a 250 two stroke in the 250 B Class. We get there only to find out they will now allow it~ There were several others who found out the same when they arrived. You have to understand the expense etc. that plays into this. Luckily we brought his four stroke to sell, mind you he hadn't been on it in six months, and all of you must know if you have any experience at all riding that the four stroke is totally different then the two stroke handling etc. We luckily did get in the top ten, but it burns my hide that when they say AMA sanctioned doesn't necessarily mean AMA rules. I know one poor kid who went all over the pits trying to borrow a four stroke for this race which his family spent tons of money on for travel etc. Mammoth and AMA get it together!!!!!!!!!! Also, witnessed a kid who got DQ for just racing. Hello, when you get to a certain level of racing, sometimes one will take someone else out, not to purposely wipe them out, but to get a head. Got it? You risk that everytime you race. Use discretion you officials.........................
