It was incidental contact. It happens. Anderson was out to pass, not take Kenny out. Steve’s comment on “owing him one” is BS. You don’t go taking someone out because your ego got hurt. Taking someone out is never ok. It’s 100% careless riding and has nothing to do with speed or technique. If you’re mad at someone, pass them. You can still ride aggressive without trying to hurt someone.

What was JT's point? I feel like Matthes was saying that in Supercross, what counts as 'ok' when making a pass is on a sliding scale. From super clean no contact, down to Anderson's pass on Roczen. Different degrees of ok, but all ok. Anything outside of that should be penalised. But what was JT talking about? I can't work it out.

Does that dude actually think what he said, or did he simply take the 'Anderson is bad' attitude to create a debate?
Anderson saw an opening and went for it. That's racing. It's ludicrous to think he had the time or even the desire to debate this in his mind before he made the pass . You can clearly see Roczen came down. Whether that's the way the berm took him or not is immaterial. NOT Anderson's problem. Kenny left the door open and a TOP LEVEL PRO was behind him. That Anderson felt as bad as he did and actually said so on the podium says something about his character.
