I think it’s up to the team that they ride for. They try to do all they can to protect and preserve the health of their best riders. They don’t like taking chances.

The fact that he went this long is pretty impressive when it is so easy to crash minus the Supercross crash with Ferrandis and coming up short in practice with another collarbone.  Most of the guys ride with some kind of injury often times.

I completely agree with you. I would say privateers probably ride with injuries more often than not because they don’t have the cushion under them to fall back on like the factory riders have. I am shocked it didn’t happen sooner though at the level of riding that he is doing every weekend, plus training. I would say training is just as strenuous as the actual motos.

OMara was interviewed right after Southwick and he said that he’s already looking ahead to the next week so yeah they have a pretty big program to keep everything going.  Jett will support the team but I will be curious to see what else he does with his time off if he posts anything big.

Kind of odd how the one guy who has won all of his titles with it often looking so easy is the one who is going out of the series so easy.
