i remember growing up ( im 30) my dad wore kidney belts. when i moved to the 80cc he got me one. i couldnt stand it. thats something i never see anyone wear anymore lol. i guess we havent really needed them since the suspension travel exceeded 3 inches.

dont a lot of guys wear chest protectors they are just the non plastic under shirt ones right?

My thoughts exactly... It's not the fact that pro riders choose not to wear chest protectors that I can't stand (it's their choice after all), it's the condescending tone that the industry (pro riders in particular) use towards them.
