Fox has an all-new flagship motocross helmet on the horizon and we got our hands on one a little early to see how it's shaping up prior to release in about six weeks.

It’s a helmet so I hope for not too many test reviews lmao.  This was informative and connected the products to the riders and industry with a hands-on look.  Most people never get to hear from the goggle guy and I didn’t know the helmet people come and check on the riders too…I better appreciate the pile of people on the podium with the riders, it makes the gear more trusted, and I have more interest in the AC interview now.

The 6D is supposed to be the best technology but it looks like riders like JMart have their heads bouncing around as they ride like that new radio controlled bike.  Has anyone heard Jett give any advice how he keeps his head still while riding other than his huge strong neck and riding style?…a helmet adds on some weight.  Maybe extra chin padding?  I wonder what his inner lining versus helmet size preference is?  I felt snug in a fox helmet back in the 90’s but it also made it feel more sweaty back then or it could have just been me.  They probably dry a lot quicker these days with more vented material that you can remove and wash between motos as shown.

I like that aqua color strip but it will get covered by the goggles strap.  Do most goggles have similar straps to fit most helmets or does Fox make their helmets to fit their own goggle strap and cutout of the face a little bit better?

The removable mouthpiece looks easy to clean and is there a foam pad to block dirt or would that prevent ventilation and breathing?  I didn’t see many front vents sucking air inside and do other helmets do that and does it work?  You probably have to be moving to feel it.

Kenny has a helmet collection on the scoop and they say even after 1 crash a helmet did it’s job and shouldn’t be worn again where some people think it can last till it wears out.  Or even dropping it can be a problem.    The last technology i heard about was snell and it sounded higher rating over DOT.  Is there some other thing ML was talking about for low speed?  I wonder how they decide/test or how we should pick.  I imagine a $800 helmet is gonna be lighter with more features but people should be able to get one for a couple hundred to meet most needs.  You would think the front chin sticking out would twist your head to break compared to a smooth street one to slide with you.  I like the hybrid looking with a visor.

Please let Fox announce their 2024 product by buying ads. Maybe that was this ... blurs the lines!

Fox does purchase ads on the website. This helmet is a new product for them and I always do First Looks on new products with supplied product from a brand and quite often attend launch events (as you see in the automotive industry etc). 

This is not a review, it’s a spotlight on a new product, sharing what’s new ahead of a proper product review that will require more time.
