Date of Birth

Jessy Nelson is a professional Motocross/Supercross rider from Paso Robles, California. Jessy gained the attention of the factory race teams as an amateur by winning two Loretta Lynn's early in his career and making the overall podium twice during his last year of amateur racing. Troy Lee Designs Honda would outbid everyone else and landed a deal with the young rider. He turned pro with the team in 2012 and didn't take long to adjust to the pro scene as he finished ninth in the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The team then re-signed him through the 2015 season, and he continued to provide the team with podiums and eventually wins. Coming into the 2016 season, he signed another extension with the team and went on to score a podium at the opening round of Supercross. Unfortunately, he got hurt the following week and had to sit out until the start of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Disaster would strike during the motocross season, as he crashed hard at Unadilla and had to be taken to the hospital. He was informed a few days later that he was paralyzed, and he had a long road of recovery ahead. As of 2018, he is still adapting to life post-motocross and has been racing four-by-fours.
