Features
• Multiple Power Modes offer riders an easily selectable choice of engine power delivery to suit riding conditions or preference; riders can now quickly and easily switch between Normal and Aggressive engine mapping in the ECU by using the Mode button on the left handlebar
• Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) provides both enhanced sport riding performance and the peace of mind to negotiate slippery surfaces with confidence; using the Traction button on the left handlebar pod, riders can quickly and easily select between Weak and Strong levels of traction control to suit conditions and rider preference; the system can also be turned off; monitoring engine speed, the ECU senses rpm spikes when rear wheel speed increases too quickly and retards ignition timing to enhance traction
• Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM) with push-button activation electronically manages engine output in first and second gear to minimize wheel spin when moving off; normal ignition mapping immediately resumes and full power is restored once rider shifts into third gear
• Smartphone Connectivity via "RIDEOLOGY THE APP" allows riders to access and adjust their bike’s engine maps: fuel volume and ignition timing of the bike’s two original maps can be fine-tuned to suit conditions and/or preference; while the engine is running, features like engine rpm, throttle angle, engine intake pressure, coolant temperature, air temperature, and ignition offset can be viewed from the smartphone; maintenance and setup logs are also available
• ERGO-FIT is an interface system designed to allow riders to find their ideal riding position: various points of the chassis interface (the handlebar, footpegs and seat, etc.) can be adjusted through a combination of interchangeable parts and parts with adjustable positions; this enables a wide range of riders to find a riding position that offers both comfort and control
SR (Special Racer) version features:
• Factory race team-inspired colors and graphics
• Modified cylinder head with polished intake ports for smoother airflow and increased engine performance
• Pro Circuit Ti-6 titanium exhaust system with special green decal
• Optimized ECU/DFI settings
• Kawasaki racing by Hinson Billetproof clutch cover
• Kashima Ti02 fork coating and model-specific settings
• Kashima shock coating and model-specific settings
• XTRIG Rocs-Tech (Revolutionary Opposing Clamp System) triple clamp with PHDS (Progressive Handlebar Damping System)
• Lime green Renthal handlebar pad
• Renthal Ultralight aluminum rear sprocket and D.I.D 520ERT3 gold chain
• D.I.D Dirtstar ST-X black rims
• Metallic magnesium gold color cylinder head cover
• Stronger power and torque at mid- to high-rpm compared to the standard KX450
