Updated! EVS RC-Evolution Arrives

Look what showed up at the Vital MX offices this morning...one of the new EVS RC-Evolution Race Collar.

The frame of the RC-Evo is pretty rigid, and a bit stiffer than we'd expected. It looks like they're using some co-molded technology in the piece that runs along your spine, as the lower end of it uses a softer material than the upper frame.

For venting, you get a pair of vents in the front, while underneath, the Lycra-covered interior foam has plenty of channels to allow air to move through it. The padding is also removeable for cleaning.

The collar itself is precurved to match the contour of the RC-Evo's frame, and the interior foam is pretty stiff as well. Inside the collar, there's a shim system that allows you to remove sections of foam to adjust the collar to your specific tastes. The collar uses three velcro mounts for attachment to the frame.

Total weight for the entire unit, with straps, is two pounds, two ounces.
