Skullcandy Pipe iPod Dock 1

Who says downsizing is always a bad thing? Everyone needs a way to listen to some music while working on your bike, but no one said that you had to cover your entire workbench with some massive boom box. Whether you’d rather listen to podcasts of DMXS, or maybe some All Things Considered on NPR, or just your own tunes, the Skullcandy Pipe is a pretty cool option.

The Pipe is a set of small external speakers that allows you to dock plug in your iPod and listen to whatever you have on it. For its small size the sound is surprisingly decent, and while $69.95 is the original suggested retail price, we’ve seen it advertised for much less on some online sites. It even comes with a small remote, so you can be across the garage and start, stop, rewind, or advance past songs that you’d rather skip. (How did that Abba tune get on there, anyways?). The good part? It even charges your iPod while plugged in on AC power.

Yep, it’s true, a Pipe can add some horsepower to your setup, whether on your bike, or in the garage. For more info? Check out www.skullcandy.com.
