The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Racing MX2 effort is also a privately owned team and is managed by ex-GP racer Jacky Martins. This team houses Max Anstie, Thomas Covington, and Conrad Mewse (who didn't make the trip over to the US this year). This was Max Anstie's second-to-last race with the outfit, as after the MXdN he'll move to the MXGP Husqvarna 450 squad for 2017. He'll be replaced by 2016 EMX2 champion Thomas Kjer Olsen.

For the most part, the MX2 squad doesn't stand out too much from the US team, other than a few hard parts sponsors here-and-there. These FC 250s feature factory engines, supplied by Husqvarna, although their riders were using the shorter headpipes when compared to the longer version the US KTM/Husqvarna FMF supported 250 teams have been using.

Outside of the heavy duty heat shielding for the fuel tank, we noticed a cooling fan which the MX2 factory KTM's didn't have. Also, the Husqvarna featured standard WP radiators, instead of the larger and angled H2O versions KTM had. We surmise the KTM's have heavy duty units due to Jeffrey Herling's riding ability, especially for the work load he puts on the bike in the sand.

A little sensor to track the coolant temperature.

For factory level teams, it can be important to track the hours on an engine and frame separately.

While it may appear to be a aluminum/steel insert SuperSprox sprocket from a distance, it's actually a full aluminum sprocket with some false colors up close. Along with some extra material drilled out for weight loss.

Just like the KTM teams, these bikes feature MotoMaster brake rotors and Brembo calipers front-and-rear.

It's really cool to see FMF supporting more-and-more programs over the pond.
