this has gone way to far down a slippery slope bias can destroy riders will to try and win races you win and some pussy flagger takes it away ama is totally gone to far they can fine riders,
but that's as far as they should be able to go if a rider doesn't see the flagger it's not there fault the flaggers needs to be visible before the rider can be fined and the ama should not in anyway be able to penalize the positions Dungey clearly won the race he didn't gain anything or position`s

Dungey is going to win it all anyway!
But you gotta have rules and enforce them evenly across the board.

Sounds like an appeal (if they exist) is reasonable. Determine if Dungey clearly saw the flag or not.

I don't like the idea of a (most likely) volunteer flagger deciding outcomes like this. Obviously there's a huge variable and grey area to a human waving a flag. Since it wasn't an issue of gaining time or ground AMA should have let it go and explain to the public that there is some kind of subjectivity to every rule (or at least there should be).

Guys with the red cross flags are part of the AMA crew, and have radio contact with other officials. They're not just yellow flag volunteers.

The volunteer flaggers at a supercross race only wave yellows. Only track crew from ama with headsets wave medical flags.

i'm not sure ,,roger needs to be way more bold and raise way more hell in my opinion he needs to formally protest and try to even change the rules on position penalties i can see a fine but positions penalties have gone way too far that's complete bullshit dungey did not gain any positions and that's the point in his situation if they go and fine maybe but there case better be rock solid

They promote SX as an professional sport and keep coming up with amateur decisions. Clearly, jumping under Red Cross flag is penalized with 2 positions, but it should not be a riders task to search the track for flags.
Btw: what happened to JS7 ignoring the blue flag?
I would not accept this decision without protesting. 5 points can still be a huge difference - 1 crash or bike failure and you would be happy about each single point

because they asked him if they were going to protest and he is team manager if you didn't notice that's
why he as team manager should protest 100% raise holy hell in my opinion

total bullshit flagger there just worthless penalty which cost dungey a shit load of money dungey should protest the hell out of it surprised no protest

Yeah like " he need more money" probably the richest dude in the sport as we speak. I can with certain tell you that he is probably 100% more mad that he made himself in this position.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY ,,HE EARNED IT, HE SHOULD PROTEST IT, THE GUYS WINS THE RACE AND DESERVES RESPECT THE CLOWNS RUNNING THE AMA ARE COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT AND A JOKE THAT RULE IS A JOKE ALSO ABOUT TAKING PLACES AWAY GO AHEAD AND FINE GUYS BUT THEY SHOULDN'T
BE ABLE TO RAKE POSITIONS ITS RACING FOR CHRIST SAKE
