The pack blasts off the line towards turn one. Dylan Ferrandis made a huge charge and jumped into the lead, but got clobbered by Malcolm Stewart in the second corner.

After Ferrandis and Malcolm Stewart tangled, Shaun Simpson took over the lead briefly...but Weston Peick took that over.

In the early stages of the race, James Stewart tangled with his brother, and tweaked an ankle. That led to a DNF. He'll get it checked out to see if he's in for Sunday's action.

Cedric Soubeyras finished fifth on Saturday.

Valentin Guillod was a strong fourth place.

Cooper Webb was deep in the pack on the start, but worked around the Ferrandis/Stewart mess, and also got by both Stewarts after they tangled. Late in the main, he was quickly reeling in Weston Peick.

Given his limited Supercross experience, Romain Febvre was actually really pleased with his sixth-place finish.

Christophe Pourcel scored a third-place finish on the first night.

The last few laps were exciting, with Cooper Webb and Weston Peick battling back and forth, but it was Peick first across the line on Saturday.

How about chainsaws as the trophy here? That's awesome. Getting them home may be a bit of a challenge, though. That's not exactly a carry-on item.
