Standing Construct Yamaha's Valentin Guillod was one of the riders in contention for the title early after Jeffrey Herling's injury. Coming into the final round, he was out of the title chase, but showed speed and fitness by starting outside to the top ten and working his way up into fourth place, before being unseated by Max Anstie on the final lap and sent back to fifth.
