Cooper Webb (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha) came into Budds Creek with a huge points lead and a chance to clinch early, but made it tough on himself with a first turn crash. He spent the moto charging through the pack, and was sixth at the end of the moto. That meant he'd have to clinch in moto two.
