After finish on the podium on Saturday, Austin Howell had a rough day. In his heat race, he hit neutral before a step-on section, and had to step off his bike in an ugly-looking crash. He walked away from that one, but after dicing for the final transfer spot in the heat race LCQ and making it into the transfer spot, Fabien Izoird landed on Austin, taking them both out.
