So what's Day In The Dirt all about? It's a Thanksgiving tradition in Southern California. You find all sorts of Hollywood folks (stuntmen, etc.), on hand, along with a sprinkling of legends, and most make a weekend of it.

There are plenty of fun signs along the course, to help you keep track during the long laps. The National and REM sides are merged, along with some pavement sections.

Most people make a weekend of it, building compounds where their friends and family hang out, build campfires, party and bench race.
