KTM Press Release Below:

The fun never ends, with all the agility of a 125 but with a power and torque increase to take the fight to the 250cc 4-strokes. For 2017 the 150 SX gets even better with an all-new WP AER 48 air-sprung fork for unbelievable handling and control. Additional upgrades such as new rear suspension settings, new carburetor, and rear break lever make for an unbeatable and fast package ensuring the 150 SX the most READY TO RACE competitor on the track.

2017 150 SX Highlights

  • NEW WP AER 48 front fork with a sophisticated air spring design and separate damping for easy adjustment to any track condition, rider weight or skill level. The fork is now 3.1 pounds lighter than the 4CS unit it replaces.
  • NEW rear suspension settings and softer rear spring are perfectly matched to the WP AER 48 front fork.
  • NEW 38mm Mikuni TX carburetor for smoother and more controllable power delivery. It is also less sensitive to altitude and temperature changes.
  • NEW throttle assembly with easy free play adjustment similar to the 4 -strokes featuring exchangeable throttle cams for different opening  characteristics of the throttle.
  • NEW top triple clamp supports the new flex characteristic of the AER 48 fork for better action and reduced friction.
  • NEW Handlebar clamps feature a separated lower clamp and bridge-type upper clamp for more torsional stiffness.
  • NEW 10mm longer rear brake pedal and less aggressive brake pads provide better modulation and control.
  • A lightweight Chromoly steel frame provides high torsional rigidity with less longitudinal stiffness resulting in excellent handling and energy absorption.
  • KTM’s “No Dirt” footpeg design keeps the pegs pivot from becoming clogged, ensuring the footpeg is always in the correct position.
  • NEW ODI grips that feature a lock-on design for the left grip and a vulcanized grip on the throttle side.
  • Super lightweight Galfer Wave rotors, CNC machined hubs, high-end Excel rims and Dunlop GEOMAX MX3S tires.
  • Airbox and filter design provides maximum performance with fast “no tools” air filter changes.
  • The 150 SX engine is compact and light while producing an impressive power output for class dominance.
  • “No Dirt” shift lever prevents dirt from fouling the lever joint to ensure proper shifting in any condition.
