The first moto featured the combined MX1 and MX2 classes. Villopoto's already rocketing off in the distance, while behind him there are riders like Max Nagl (37), Tommy Searle (17), World Champion Steve Ramon (4), Sebastien Pourcel (13), and Jonathan Barragan (22). Missing from this group is Ricky Carmichael, who'd gone down after being rear-ended as two riders ahead of him came together and slowed dramatically.
