i-fly Lanes Kawasaki presents its 2013 squad

After weeks of off-season negotiations, i-fly Lanes Kawasaki is proud to present its 2013 line-up. Headed up by quartet Dean and Dennis Lane, Clinton Putnam and Graham Harrison, and supported by sponsors Kawasaki Motors UK, Lanes Construction and private charter airline i-fly, the team will be fielding four riders in three classes in the next motocross season.

On the Kawasaki KX450F will be the most experienced rider in the team, Alfie Smith. Smith, already very familiar with the bike, will head the team's participation in the MX1 class in the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, the Red Bull Pro Nationals championship and selected FIM World Championship rounds.

The team will field three riders in selected UEM European Motocross Championship EMX250 rounds on the Kawasaki KX250F, Lewis Trickett, James Harrison and Ben Putnam. While Trickett will be joined by Harrison in the Maxxis British Motocross Championship MX2 class, he will be competing in the Red Bull Pro Nationals championship alone. Harrison and Putnam on the other hand will rejoin the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup's Rookie class for 2013.

Additionally, Harrison and Putnam will be competing in the MXY2 class of the UK Arenacross series, with Harrison also racing in the MX2 class. Putnam's participation in the Maxxis British Motocross Championship will be confirmed in the new year. All riders will also compete in their respective classes in the Red Bull European round.

The team also announces a change in day-to-day management; in 2013, Graham Harrison will be primarily responsible for managing race activities, with Clinton Putnam responsible for logistics.

Commented team principal Dean Lane: "It's been a tough couple of years juggling our business, family and running the team. After a long chat amongst my father Dennis, myself, Graham Harrison and Clinton Putnam, we agreed that Graham Harrison will be doing the lion's share of all the sorting out, with Clinton Putnam organising all the entries. We have a team of good young talent, and we're really looking forward to seeing them all do well this year."

Lewis Trickett: I'm very grateful to be joining i-fly Lanes Kawasaki for 2013. It's a big step in the right direction for my career; the last two years I've been struggling a lot due to pre-season injuries, so I hope I can have a good season this year as I feel fit and have a great team behind me.

James Harrison: I'm really happy to be on the i-fly Lanes Kawasaki team for 2013. I had a good year on the team last year and got on well with everyone. I am already good friends with all three of the new riders. I think it will a good team atmosphere and will be good to practice together and learn from each other as a few of us are racing in the same race.

Ben Putnam: I'm really looking forward to racing the Rookies, MX2 and the Europeans with i-fly Lanes Kawasaki next year!

Alfie Smith: I'm pleased that I have signed to i-fly Lanes Kawasaki for 2013, I'm really excited to get back riding soon; it should be a good year for both me and the team.
