Press Release

Yamaha crest 100,000 Facebook mark

Yamaha’s Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/yamaharacingcom
reached the 100,000 ‘likes’ mark three weeks ago and continues to build
an avid following. The collection of fans and online users of the site
has increased thanks to its diverse coverage of racing classes, news,
competitions, photos and videos, charity auctions of racing collectables
and updates connected with the ‘tuning forks’ emblem found on
motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles hitting the tracks and trails around
the globe.

More than 20 million post views have occurred since
creation of the page and besides enjoying Yamaha’s information stream
regarding their sports activities followers are able to interact with
other Yamaha Racing fans regardless of location.

An example of the way Yamaha has been able to push
the community aspect of the Facebook page was seen recently in the
Monster Energy Yamaha MX Photo of the Year Award competition. Yamaha
Racing followers were invited to vote for the best image of Yamaha’s
factory motocross riders from a gallery submitted by the pro
photographers that follow the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Yamaha will continue to push forward with this exciting form of
connecting with race fans by submitting more great content both away and
at the circuit and throughout the off-season. Keep refreshing!
