August 15, 2016 - National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team will welcome American Wil Hahn to the team's roster for the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship, which commences at Jimboomba in Queensland on Saturday, 17 September.

The 26-year-old Texan, who currently competes for Monster Energy Kawasaki in the US, will contest the entire Australian Supercross season aboard the factory-supported KX450F in the SX1 category alongside Australian team regular Kade Mosig.

"I'm excited to compete at new venues and another part of the world," Hahn explained. "I've been over to a few places in Australia before and I'm really looking forward to combining my career with the travel and experience of a new country.

"I jumped at the opportunity to ride with National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team when Troy [Carroll] gave me a call and, honestly, I'm just thankful to have this chance of racing in the full series with the support of Kawasaki. It's a really cool deal.

"To be starting the series at Jimboomba and then be part of it all the way through to the AUS-X Open, it's special for me. There will be American guys on the line with me, as well as the top Australians, so the level of racing will be really high.

"I will do most of my preparation here in the US, probably until the first week of September, and then I will head over to Australia and stay there the whole time. That allows me to combine my base settings with the great KX450F of the National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team."

National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team manager Troy Carroll said it was a positive addition to the team, signing 2013 American Eastern Regional 250 Supercross Champion Hahn to complete the full season.

"We are very pleased to have Wil Hahn join National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team for the full Australian Supercross Championship season and know that he will be a great asset to the team," Carroll commented. "From Jimboomba all the way through to the AUS-X Open, Wil will be a professional addition to the series and we look forward to working with him."

Hahn has been working his way back to full fitness after sustaining a shoulder injury during a multi-rider incident at the Atlanta round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross. Prior to that he had claimed a pair of top 10 finishes in the opening part of the season.
