We All Ride Freestone MX National Race Recap

May 29th, 2012 - It was another blistering hot weekend out in Texas, which held the second round of the AMA outdoor national MX races. One of We All Ride’s very own who is known for his physical fitness was poised to put his bike atop the podium again. #800 Mike Alessi took his MCR450 back up to the podium with a 3rd place overall for the day!

#800 Mike Alessi – Mike was feeling good and mentally ready to battle it out in the Texas sun this past weekend. #800 was able to rally in Moto 1 to a 5th place overall. In Moto #2 Mike was able to build a comfortable cushion ahead Izzi, Grant and Short. Izzi went down and Grant and Short were never able to catch back up to Mike Alessi. Thus, giving Mike 3rd overall atop the podium with Ryan Dungey and points leader James Stewart.

#59 Vince Friese – This was not Vince Friese weekend for sure. Vince came into Texas feeling good after his results the weekend before. In Moto #1 Vince battled with JGR Kyle Regal and Justin Sipes finishing in #23 overall. In Moto 2 Vince would get a great jump off the line but due to falling down, he would only be able to salvage 34th for moto 2. Thus giving Vince a 30th overall for the day.

#57 Jake Canada – Canman was on a heater out in Texas and wanted to show he belongs inside the top 10 every weekend. Jake took his MCR250 to an 8th place overall in moto 1 almost getting a last minute charge pass over TLD’s Jessy Nelson. In Moto 2 Jake battled and was only able to salvage a 14th overall. Thus giving Jake an 9th place finish for the day. This moved Jake into 8th place overall for the points in the national series.

#11 Mariana Balbi – Mariana was on the gas this weekend taking home an 8th place overall for the day. In Moto 1 she would battle Sara Pettersson and Lindsey Palmer to finish in 8th place. In Moto 2 Mariana kept ahead of Jacqueline Strong for an impressive 6th place finish. Mariana now sits in 7th place with 55 points for the WMX series.

Look for MotoConcepts and We All Ride back on the podium next weekend at Colorado!
