Utah's Finest Motocross Racers Team Up For Toyota AMA Arenacross Season With Team Triple Effect

2007 Des Moines Arenacross Lites podium placer Gray Davenport and ‘07 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series’ western region champ Beni Williams headline the Utah-based team

AURORA, Ill. (Oct. 29, 2007) – The Toyota AMA Arenacross Series is pleased to announce another top-flight team that is joining the 2007-’08 competition season that begins in few short weeks at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

Team Triple Effect will feature four racers from the motocross-friendly state of Utah and is led by #916 Gray Davenport (Lehi, Utah), last year’s 3rd place finisher in the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series’ Western Arenacross Lites division, and his friend and fellow competitor, Beni Williams (No. 92) from Hooper, Utah, who won the overall Western AX Lites regional title.

“We are looking forward to Des Moines and the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series opener,” said Team Triple Effect owner Charlie Wallwork. “Our guys have been training hard and are looking forward to having a successful arenacross season. Our team goals are to be consistent and to be on the podium.”

Both Davenport and Williams will be moving up to the AMA Arenacross class this year from the Lites class, though both will be racing the same 250cc four-stroke bikes they ran last year. 

Heading up Team Triple Effect’s western region Lites class racers this year will be Dacoda Sorochuk (No. 53) of Randolph, Utah and Williams’ brother, Rudi Williams (No. 93). Handling the wrenching duties for all four riders will be Wallwork, along with Beni and Rudi’s father, Ben Williams.

And helping the team reach all the rounds of the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series tour will be: Triple Effect Graphics, PR2 Racing Technology, MB1 Suspension, Fly Racing, Works Connection, Hinson Racing And South Valley Motorsports, Alpinestars, RK Excel and Vortex.

Fees and handling may apply. Show times are Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 12:00. Doors open Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m., Sunday at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday tickets are $20 for all Gold Circle seats, $16 for Mid Level seats/$8 for kids Mid Level seats. Sunday tickets are $16 for adults, $8 for kids. All seats $2 more day of show. Note: Kids = children ages 2-12.
