UEM SX Series 2008 - Last Fight!

Amazing final for the 2008  Supercross Series: Fabien Izoird is the new European Champion changing all the obvious forecasts. Great public to the Palafiera, arrived to acclaim the protagonists of the Continental Series who have respected the expectations presenting high fighting spirits ready to close this gorgeous Challenge.


Game over, the French Fabien Izoird (Suzuki – Cross Import) takes the place of  Antonio Cairoli as the Champion of the Supercross Series. An extraordinary race because of the announced fight between the American giant Jason Lawrence (Yamaha –Evolution) and the Championship leader Benjamin Coisy (Honda Martin – Racing), a battle that has immediately finished because a fall down of the Californian guy at the second corner of the Main Event. Coisy  had the same penalty because of a problem occurred to his Honda engine during the third lap of the Main Event. Out the favourite riders fighting for the victory as Matteo Bonini, who has lighted on the great public that has filled up the Genoa Palafiera. He has been the author of the Holeshot and has immediately starter a fight versus Marvin Musquin, who touched his challenger handlebar during his try to surpass him, and consequently they have fallen down together. As a consequence Izoird has taken the lead of the race. Izoird trying not to make mistakes, has been run up by Musquin, who restarted quickly after his fall. Behind them an amazing Meo, who riding his new Husqvarna TC 250 model year 2009, has reached the third place. Musquin has immediately imposed an high level rhythm to the race and has fast reached the final victory. He has been helped by Izoird paying more attention to the final has been exciting thanks to classification, rather than to the race, due to the fact that the second place could make him the European Champion.  However the final part of the race thanks to the run up of Vongsana (Honda SRS- St Racing), fallen at the first lap and restarted, has reached the podium. He showed to be one of the best supercross specialist through the attack he made, when he got the third position and Meo fallen down in the attempt to contrast him. The other American Ryan Beat (Yamaha – Evolution) closed fifth, reaching his best result in the European supercross series.


 


Izoird is the new European Champion and has celebrated his continental title together with his conationals Coisy and Musquin, who respectively finished second and third place in the overall championship classification
