AMA Supercross - Oakland, CA

Supercross can certainly be an emotional roller coaster for teams and
riders. Just one week after the team scored it's very first supecross
win they had what can only be described as a frustrating weekend in
Oakland as both riders failed to finish the main event.

The heat race once again looked promising for both Cole Seely and Travis Baker.
Travis pulled his first holeshot of the season and led briefly while
Cole worked his way up from a bad start. Cole would get to third, just
ahead of Baker, at the end of the heat. Both riders were qualified for
the final and feeling good going into it.

In the main event, Travis started mid-pack and began working
his way forward. Meanwhile, Cole suffered another bad start and was
caught in a group of riders. While doubling one of the triples in
traffic, Cole landed on a Tuff Block and damaged his rear brake system.
Unfortunately, it would mean the end of Cole's night and he retired to
the pits early.

"I felt confident going in after a win," said Cole. "Practice
went well I felt strong and knew just like every weekend if I get a
good start I could get on the podium. I have a lot of fire going into
A2 and I can't wait to race!"

Travis Baker had worked his way up to seventh position when he
lost his front end on a slick off-camber corner. He hit his head in the
crash and made the tough decision to call it a night as well.

Despite the weekend's results, the team remains optimistic about the rest of the series.

The team's third rider, Christian Craig, suffered a knee injury
at the Los Angeles round of the series. He collided with another rider
on the opening lap of the main event and tore the ligament away from
his kneecap. Christian expects to make it back before the end of the
supercross season.

This weekend the series returns to Angels Stadium for the
fifth round of the series in Anaheim. This will be your last chance to
catch Cole and Travis in action in Orange County, so be sure to stop by
our pit area and say hello.
