Press Release

Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda Digs Deep in Denver

The Troy Lee Designs/ Lucas Oil/ Honda team put in a great showing at
the Thunder Valley National last Saturday. Perfect weather and a large
crowd made for a perfect day of racing and the fans got to see plenty of
TLD riders in the mix.

Christian Craig
started the weekend off right by pulling one of his patented holeshots
in moto one. He led the best riders in the world for a couple laps
before giving way to Dungey, Reed and Villopoto. Christian would
circulate in fourth for much of the moto, losing two spots late in the
race to Alessi and Windham. A sixth in moto one set him up for a good
overall, especially if he could get another good start in the second
moto.

And in moto two Craig did get a good start. Unfortunately he tangled
with another rider in turn two and went down. He remounted in last and
pushed all moto long to get back to fifteenth. It was a great ride and
he closed out the day in 8th overall.

"It was a pretty good day," said Christian. "I wish I could have stayed
on two wheels at the start of the second moto because I think my overall
could have been pretty good, but that's racing. I'm stoked on the way
things are going and I can't wait for next weekend."

The team's 250 riders, Travis Baker and Cole Seely,
got off to decent starts in the first lites moto. Seely spent much of
the race fighting for position and he ended in 8th when the checkers
flew. Baker was right behind him in 10th, putting every TLD rider inside
the top ten at that point. Moto two would prove to be more difficult
for Seely and after a couple crashes and struggles he would finish 17th
in the moto and 12th overall on the day. Baker, on the other hand,
stayed consistent and his 10-10 moto finishes would give him 8th overall
on the day, his best national finish this year.

The women's class returned this weekend and TLD rider Tarah Gieger rode to 5-3 moto finishes for third overall.

The tour now heads to Buchanan, Michigan for one of the most prestigious
rounds on the circuit: Red Bud. The Fourth of July weekend always draws
a big crowd and the track is absolutely amazing; it's easily one of the
best courses of the year. Come out and watch as all the Troy Lee
Designs riders fight for position and points in the deep Michigan soil.
