Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Arrives @ Blue Cross Arena

AURORA, Ill. (Nov. 27, 2007) – Fans of Toyota AMA Arenacross Series are in for some big time racing action this weekend (Nov. 30-Dec. 1) when the highly popular racing series’ stops at Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial – Round Five of the 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series.

Leading the field at what’s expected to be a packed house on both Friday and Saturday nights will be defending series champions, Danny Smith and Chad Johnson of the TUF/Honda team. Smith and Johnson will face a field of top local pros from New York, established veteran racers and up-and-coming stars of AMA Supercross in this exciting form of indoor motorsport like Marion’s (N.Y.) Colton Camp.

“We’re looking forward to having the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series stop at Blue Cross Arena for the first time in the series’ history,” said Jayme Dalsing, director of arenacross for Live Nation. “Historically, this region of the country has been a hotbed for motocross-style racing with the Binghamton and Unadilla Outdoor National motocross races running nearby. This is the first time indoor the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series will be coming to Rochester, so we’re anticipating a big turnout for this inaugural event at Blue Cross Arena.”

Tickets for the Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 Toyota AMA Arenacross at Blue Cross Arena are available through www.arenacross.com, at the Blue Cross Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets – including www.ticketmaster.com – or charge by phone at (585) 232-1900. Fees and handling may apply. Show times are Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Sunday (amateurs) at 12:00. Doors open Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m., Sunday at 11 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday advance tickets for adults are $20 for Gold Level seats, $17 for all mid level seats. Kids ages 2-12 are $10. All seats are $2 more day of show.
