Press Release

Townley / DV / Shorty / Pingree / McFarlane / Robb Beams on DMXS Tonight!

Ben Townley had a slow start to his stateside racing career with some untimely injuries to deal with, but the likeable New Zealander already has an SX Lites Championship this year and has closed the gap on Villopoto with his overall win last week at Unadilla. Check out www.bentownleymx.com I almost used that exact same website address.

Tim Ferry redefined the rules again last year with his familiar move from the privateer ranks back into a Factory rig. His success and added team value made Kawasaki’s decision seem genius and once again rejuvenated Red Dog’s career. David “Kit Kat”Vuillemin has had quite the winding road since leaving Factory Yamaha a few years ago, but the cagey and speedy veteran has signed with Factory Suzuki for 2008. DV’s perseverance has paid off and he will be competing next year on Suzuki’s best equipment including the new fuel injected 450. We will ask him about the questionable Wall Street move where he dumped all his stock in carburetors just a few hours before signing. Check out www.DV12.com

Factory Honda’s Andrew "Van" Short has made a good transition to the “big bike”...thank you very much. The part-time cattle farmer and full-time racer has had a great outdoor season so far including a podium last week at the Dilla. Andrew sits just seven points back from Timmy Ferry for third in the points with his home race coming up this weekend. Andrew will join us tonight after milking his bulls. Ewww.

Team Rockstar Suzuki’s Andrew McFarlane is finally back healthy and put in a solid ride last week for a season best 5th overall. After sitting out the SX Lites series, Andrew is ready to finish out the season strong and put 2007 behind him. We will catch up with the migratory Australian from Florida tonight where he breaks into and stays at Reed’s house when he is gone. It’s all good.

David "Burrito" Pingree helped Weege out with the popular Racer X Motocross show last week at Unadilla and will bring his knowledgeable and witty observations with him tonight. Ping has also been contesting the Super Moto season for Troy Lee and will let us know how that scene is going as well. We will of course ask him if South Africa is part of Europe. We always enjoy having our ol’ burrito buddy on the show

MotoEndurance’s Robb Beams has created a niche market for himself in the world of motocross with his wealth of knowledge on training and endurance. He works exclusively with the Toyota TMX Program in addition to other athletes. Robb will be kind enough to field some questions tonight on specific training issues. Just send your questions to izer@msn.com and we will get to as many as possible tonight. I have had the pleasure of hosting several Toyota TMX clinics, which included Robb, and the feedback from the riders and their families has been awesome. Tune in for some real-world training advice. You can find out more about the exciting Toyota TMX Athlete Program at www.ridetmx.com and more on Robb at www.motoendurance.net
