Toronto SX Race Report: Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear‏

Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear’s
Ricky Renner notches another main event appearance this
time in Canada during Monster Energy AMA Supercross

This is the eighth main event appearance for the team this season

INDIANAPOLIS (March 29, 2011) –
Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship, had its lone
international appearance of the season this past Saturday, March 26 in
Toronto. Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear was present throughout the night at Rogers Centre thanks to athlete Ricky Renner who competed in his second East Region Lites main of the series.

The
AMA Supercross track at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario was one of
the most unique and toughest layouts this season with a switchback
first turn and a deep sand section. The dirt was rocky which led to
many athletes, including Renner, placing handguards on their race bikes.

Team Voilation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear’s Vernon McKiddie,
who competes with Renner in East Region Supercross Lites, decided to
stay home to rest his body. He injured his ribs at the Jacksonville
round and will be back in action this weekend in Texas.

Team Violation1.com/Shea
Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear athlete Renner #94 lined up for heat
race one on his Eleven 10 Mods/DR.D/Enzo Suspension KTM 250 SX-F. At
the switchback first turn, Renner got pushed wide and was nearly dead
last at the beginning of the first lap. He put his head down and moved
up to 13th place within the first few laps. As the race wound down,
Renner was in position to take advantage and move up to 10th. However,
he ran out of time in order to get a transfer spot to the main.

In
the LCQ, Renner was determined to make the main event. He knew he could
push his KTM hard due to the Maxima Racing Oils that protect the 250cc
four-stroke motor. In the four-lap race—essentially a slingshot
dash—Renner was on the gas and played it smart. He earned the final
transfer spot to the Supercross Lites main event by finishing second.

Shea
Racing’s Renner rolled his Munn Racing KTM 250 SX-F up to the start
gate for the AMA Supercross Lites main event wearing his FLY Racing
Evolution gear. Once again in the run to the first turn, he got pushed
wide and was left near the back of the pack. Renner was ready to take
advantage of every lap in the 15-lap main to move up the field. At the
checkers, he finished 16th place adding to his other main event
appearance this season.

“This
was the roughest and most unique track outside of Daytona,” said Tim
Shea, team manager. “So any rider who can make it past that crazy first
turn and endure the entire race to make it to the main is an
accomplished athlete. Ricky never gave up and did awesome. To get his
main event spot through the LCQ shows his determination and talent when
19 other guys are trying to get one of the two spots. We’re super happy
for his Toronto main finish. We look forward to being in our home state
this Saturday!”

Three Team Violation1.com/Shea
Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear athletes are in the 2011 AMA
Supercross points standings. Renner is now in 24th and McKiddie is in
32nd place in East Region Lites standings. Team athlete Casey Hinson is 18th in the Supercross Lites West Region points.

Shea
added, “It is cool to be part of this epic Supercross season. We’ve
seen some of the best competition and talent all on the track with
unexpected outcomes. We’re honored to be a part of this series and
compete in the main events shown on SPEED TV. Thanks to our sponsors,
especially National Switchgear and Travisa, for believing in us this
year as we expanded our program.”

Team Violation1.com/Shea
Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear, powered by Munn Racing KTM, heads
to round 13 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross this Saturday, April 2 at
Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This will be round seven of eight
of the AMA Supercross Lites East Region. Fans come out to see athletes
Ricky Renner #94 and Vernon McKiddie #129 in their FLY Racing Evolution
gear and Violation Goggles on DeCal Works-emblazoned KTM 250 SX-F race
bikes. During the pit party stop by the team’s purple and yellow semi
hauler to meet the riders and the Violation Goggles girls. The
Supercross class will be broadcast on CBS at 12 noon EST on Sunday,
April 3. The Supercross Lites class will be on SPEED at 6 p.m. EST on
Sunday, April 3. Keep posted to the team at www.sheamoto.com.
