Top Amateur Jeremy Martin To Make Pro Debut With Star Valli Yamaha

Martin to race Rockstar Energy Yamaha YZ250F at Southwick National

Star Valli Yamaha Motorsport, LLC. is excited to announce that elite amateur motocross racer Jeremy Martin will join the Rockstar Energy Yamaha-sponsored team’s Pro ranks with a multi-year contract, starting with the Southwick National in Southwick, MA, in August. Martin will also campaign the #146 Rockstar Energy Yamaha YZ250F in the 250 class for the remaining rounds of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross season.
“The whole Star Valli Yamaha Motorsport team is excited to bring Jeremy out for the last four national races after Loretta Lynn’s,” said Star Valli Yamaha Motorsport Team Owner Bobby Regan. “We’re all pumped and ready to go. Jeremy’s the top amateur in the world, as far as we’re concerned.”

Martin, 19, has amassed numerous amateur titles and awards, including championship-winning results and accolades at the prestigious Mini O’s, Ponca City and Loretta Lynn’s. This last season was Martin’s first year riding as a Star Valli Yamaha amateur, though he’s been affiliated with Rockstar Energy Racing for several years. Martin is looking forward to making his Pro debut with the Star Valli Yamaha crew.

“Signing a multi-year deal with a premier team like Star Valli Yamaha is a huge step in my career,” said Martin. “I’m really excited to see where it will take me. Star Valli Yamaha and Rockstar Energy believed in me from the get-go and have stood behind me with every decision I’ve made. They are a great group of people – with their hard work and my dedication, we’ll do our best to put the Rockstar Energy Yamaha YZ250F on the podium and hopefully get their first-ever championship.”
