The motocross season has started off with a bang for Tony Cairoli and the Sidi Sport colours. In spite of of his
fever, the World Champion was a major player in the third round of the
Italian Internationals of motocross.
The second-to-last act of the season hit the stage on Sunday, March 20th on the
Cingoli circuit in the Marche region. Victory in the round went to
Philippaerts, but Cairoli grabbed a third place in race 1 and a first place in
race 2 to collect valuable points that moved him to the top of the overall
championship standings. Now the Sicilian pilot, who rides for Team KTM Red Bull
De Carli Racing, is in the lead with 545 points. That's a 10 point advantage
over his main adversary, Philippaerts and 15 points ahead of Frossard. These
three pilots will in fact be vying for final victory, next Sunday on the Gazzane
di Presceglie circuit in  Brescia. Every year the
Italian Internationals become the proving grounds for  Cairoli and the pilots from the Sidi
Sport stables, as they look forward to the World motocross season. As
always,  Cairoli & Co. can count
