Thor’s Villopoto Moves Another Win Closer to the Championship



Thor’s Ryan Villopoto tied his
season-win record with his seventh victory of the season at the 12th
round of the AMA Supercross Series at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Villopoto didn’t waste any time getting out front and cruised to
victory, winning by a comfortable nine seconds. He now sits 79 points
ahead of second with the possibility of wrapping up the championship
next weekend in Houston, Texas.

Thor’s Jake Weimer overcame a late
race bobble that put him off the track but came back to finish fifth,
while Broc Tickle raced to another top-10 result in eighth. 
After
running in the top 10, Brett Metcalfe finished 18th after a late race
crash pushed him down in the results. In the Supercross Lites class,
Darryn Durham earned another heat race win and went on to finish fifth
in the main event. Teammate Blake Baggett finished 15th.

At the AMA National Hare and Hound
in Murphy, Idaho, Kurt Caselli earned his third-straight victory and
remained unbeatable after three rounds. Also earning a victory for the
Thor’s off-road team was Charlie Mullins who battled the muddy elements
in Morganton, N.C. at the third round of the Mid-East Hare Scrambles.

Thor’s Taylor Robert held down the
West Coast with a his second overall vicotry of the season at the WORCS
race in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Robert earned a perfect 1-1 moto finish,
while Mike Brown finished just behind him in second with a 3-2 moto
result. Scoring a podium finish at the second round of the OMA Nationals
in Dawson Springs, Ky. was Thor’s Russell Bobbitt, finishing third
overall.
