This Weekend at Glen Helen Raceway: HYR 24 Hour Endurance Race

  • The 2011 HYR 24 Hour Endurance Race is the final round of the 2011 HYR Endurance Series at Glen Helen Raceway.

  • The
    race begins at 10:00AM on Saturday October 8, and finishes at 10:00AM
    on Sunday October 9 for a full 24 hours of racing action.

San Bernardino, Calif. - October 4, 2011 - The
2011 HYR 24 Hour Endurance Race is coming to Glen Helen Raceway this
weekend! The 24 Hour is the final round of the 2011 HYR Endurance
Series, and features a full 24 hours of great racing action on Glen
Helen’s specially designed endurance course.

Racers looking to compete in this extreme event can register their teams of up to 6 riders (amateur) or 4 riders (pro) online atglenhelen.com.
The Ironman class is also available for those who want to solo the
entire race! Amateur teams may use up to two bikes in the 24 hour
period, keeping one bike impounded at all times. Both bikes must have
the same number on at least front and left number plates! Pro teams are
only allowed to use 1 bike. Transponders will be used for scoring
(rental fee is included in registration), so racers must switch the
transponder when changing bikes. Click here for a full list of the rules

2011 HYR 24 Hour Endurance Race Rules and Regulations

The
24 hour Endurance race also gives racers the unique challenge of racing
at night, so racers will be required to have lighting systems installed
on their machines. Trail Tech and Baja Designs will be on site with
rental systems, and will provide technical support. Both Trail Tech and
Baja Designs are offering 10% discounts on lighting systems purchased in
preparation for the race.
