The Honda World Motocross Team Showcases Its New Livery For 2012 3

The new Hondas appear to be some of the trickest bikes on the GP circuit this year, and as they're getting ready for the start of the season, the Honda World Motocross team of Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Goncalves (with some help from One Industries) has one of the best "team" looks that we've seen in quite a while. –VMX

The Honda World Motocross team is excited to announce its 2012 livery ready for its assault on the World MX1 Championship with riders Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Gonçalves, which begins in April at Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.

The team’s new livery is ultra-special as it’s a bespoke product designed and made by partner One Industries especially for the riders, who will join the Honda World Motocross squad for their second season. Both Bobryshev and Gonçalves, who wore the new gear featuring their race numbers in the pant design, also were excited to showcase their new bikes, which are specialist factory CRF 450R machines being developed by the team alongside the staff in Honda’s R&D department in Japan.

The photoshoot, which took place in Belgium last week, was the first time that the team and riders had seen the new gear in the flesh. Bobryshev’s initial response was “I like it, the design of the gear is really nice and very special. We’ve had a lot of good preparation for the season and it’s great to have all of the new gear. The photoshoot was a lot of fun in a big quarry, and it’s great to see the results. It’s not long now until the start of the World Championships and I can’t wait.”

Teammate Gonçalves said “The photoshoot was two long days, but a lot of fun and it’s great to see the outcome. The riding gear looks really good and having the 999 on the pants makes it very special. The design is really nice and my preparations are going well, so we’re just about ready for the Grand Prix races to start. The bike is feeling really good; we’ve all been working so hard and I’m very proud to be part of this special project.”

The Dunlop-shod CRF 450R machines were put through their paces around the deep sand track, which was situated in a quarry near Brussels. Please enjoy browsing through the images by team photographer Sarah Gutierrez, who will follow the squad throughout the 2012 season, and please make sure you check the website www.hondaworldmotocross.com later in the week to see the video.
